Please do not select your neck circumference, as your collar will NOT fit. The total length you select in the drop down menu is the total size you want your closed collar to be. Ultimately it is up to you to choose the correct Total Length you feel suits you best. Also, please remember this collar is being custom handcrafted and you must understand and allow for human accuracy, not machined accuracy. There are NO mass produced items here. While we pride ourselves on accuracy, our works will be within a 1/8 inch, give or take. This is entirely negligible and certainly not enough to affect the fit of your collar in any way. SIZING SUGGESTION (NOT INSTRUCTION). The best method we’ve found for getting your perfect neck measurement for a chain collar is what we call the String Method. With this method, take a string, shoelace, cord, or something similar to the thickness of the collar and put it around your neck to fall where you want it. It is very important that it fits exactly as you would like your collar to fit. It is a good idea to tape it together so you can look at it without having to have your hand holding it. Wear it for a bit, walk around, move, and make sure it feels comfortable. This will assure the correct total size and measurement and will duplicate the same results in the custom collar we make for you. Once it fits how you like it, measure it on a ruler and that is your total length. This measurement already includes the lock. DO NOT add to the measurement to accommodate for a lock.
