Definitely a unique and rare form of Pink Amethyst, this Pink Amethyst Angel/Butterfly Wings Geode shows us a distinguished formation which brings many colorful druzy all over it and it is of X-Large size. The color tones of this specimen are unique, you can see the subtle pink color which sometimes mixes with different hues of orange and purple. These color variations come from iron (hematite) impurities present at the moment the quartz was crystallized. Another beautiful highlight we can see on this Pink Amethyst specimen are caves seen on it, as each side is half of the main geode, the caves look very similar. The geode on the left has a darker color and the geode on the right has the slightly softer pink. The Geode was kept intact and the specimen was cut and polished in order to highlight beauty, showing us many formations of “eyes”, which are the matrix’s from which the final form of the druzy grows after. The back part was kept intact, with the brownish basalt mineral being one of the main attractions of it.
